Women’s health assessment is a common and essential skill required by all healthcare professionals that demands a unique understanding of the multiple physiological changes the female body undergoes throughout the lifespan. The female body experiences significant hormonal changes during puberty, pregnancy, lactation, and menopause. From menarche to menopause, gender-specific risk factors affect a woman’s physical and emotional health (Thompson, 2018).
