Head, Eyes, Ears, Nose and Throat System
The body’s head, face, mouth, and neck regions from which the senses of smell, hearing, sight, and vision originate are complex units generally assessed in a sequential pattern. The structures in the head, eyes, ears, nose, and throat (HEENT) affect every organ system controlling the body (Thompson, 2018).

- Review common pathological signs and symptoms of HEENT dysfunction.
- Learn appropriate documentation of assessment findings.
- Practice and apply critical thinking skills through applicable case study review.
