Neurological System

The neurological system is a complex and interconnected system responsible for coordinating and regulating all bodily functions. It includes two structural components:

  1. The Central Nervous System (CNS) and
  2. The Peripheral Nervous System (PNC).

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  1. Review basic anatomy and physiology of the neurological system.
  2. Complete a comprehensive assessment of the neurological system.
  3. Understand the normal findings of a neurological assessment.
  4. Review common pathological signs and symptoms of neurological dysfunction.
  5. Learn appropriate documentation of assessment findings.
  6. Practice and apply critical thinking skills through applicable case study review.
