HippoCampus.org is a free, core academic website that delivers rich multimedia content—videos, animations, and simulations—on general education subjects to middle-school and high-school teachers and college professors, and their students, free of charge.

OpenSimon Tools (Various licences) by various.

The mission of the Simon Initiative, through it’s OpenSimon Toolkit release, is to create and grow a community of educators who use and expand on the Learning Engineering toolkit and the larger Simon Initiative ecosystem to improve learning outcomes for individual learners, while collectively advancing our larger understanding of human learning.

PhET Interactive Simulations (CC BY) by various.

Free, interactive math and science simulations. PhET sims are based on extensive education research and engage students through an intuitive, game-like environment where students learn through exploration and discovery.

The eCampusOntario H5P Studio site uses H5P, an open source plugin, to allow content authors to easily create interactive content for their courses or other instructional projects. eCampusOntario H5P Studio is provided as part of our set of Open Publishing tools and developed by the Wilfrid Laurier University Library.

The Flickr Creative Commons Search allows you to search all of image sources for items that are either CC-licensed or public domain.

The Gender Spectrum Collection (CC BY-NC-ND) by various.

A stock photo library featuring images of trans and non-binary models that go beyond the clichés. This collection aims to help media better represent members of these communities as people not necessarily defined by their gender identities—people with careers, relationships, talents, passions, and home lives.

Google Images (CC search filter) by various.

Google Images will allow you to filter results to only show openly licensed images. Under “Tools” set “Usage Rights” to be “Labelled for Reuse.”

Indigenous Stock Images (Free to use with attribution)

CIRA’s Indigenous stock photo library is a free-to-use resource created with the purpose of honouring Indigenous entrepreneurship and addressing the Indigenous representation gap in most online stock images.

Nappy is a collection of free photos of Black and Brown people spanning exercise/physical activity; food; work; and the nouns, people, places, and things.

The Noun Project (Various CC licences) by various.

A catalogue of symbols that are created and uploaded by graphic designers under a CC-license.

Open-i (Various CC and other licences) by various.

A service of the National Library of Medicine enables search and retrieval of abstracts and images (including charts, graphs, clinical images, etc.) from the open source literature, and biomedical image collections. Searching may be done using text queries as well as query images. Open-i provides access to over 3.7 million images from about 1.2 million PubMed Central® articles; 7,470 chest x-rays with 3,955 radiology reports; 67,517 images from NLM History of Medicine collection; and 2,064 orthopedic illustrations.
